Professor Danny Altmann is a professor of Immunology at Imperial College London in the United Kingdom.  His key research interests are the immunology of Infectious disease including severe bacterial infections.  He has also worked on autoimmune diseases such as Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis.  Professor Altmann has been a tireless advocate for Long Haulers and is currently one of the principal leads for the UK’s National Institute of Health’s research study “Investigating the Immunology of Long Term Effects of SARS-CoV-2”.  He has also co-written a best-selling book called The Long COVID Handbook.
